Position Qualifications:
Education Required
-
Bachelor’s degree in child life, child development or related field
Experience Requirements
-
Minimum of 3 years demonstrated clinical experience as a child life specialist within a recognized children’s hospital.
-
Certified Child Life Specialist Certification (CCLS) from the Association of Child Life Professionals (ACLP).
-
Demonstrated excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.

Demonstrated ability to supervise, mentor, and lead multiple teams and clinical child life practice

Demonstrated job-related experience with and/or commitment to diversity in the work environment is required.

Association of Child Life Professionals (ACLP) Member
Desirable Qualifications
-
Master’s degree in related field is highly desired.

Minimum 2 years’ experience as a child life specialist in a pediatric child life program within an academic medical center is highly desired.

Previous leadership experience.

Previous management/supervisory experience.
-
Experience in leading and implementing aspects of a growing or established Child Life Program.
