Clerk II - Visitor Management - Safety and Security
The University of Iowa Health Care department of Safety and Security is seeking a Clerk II to perform work related to the visitor management process and ensuring that function is operating effectively. Duties will involve the use of Epic, computer terminals, and/or a variety of software and conventional office equipment.
This position will be located at the information desks, specified entrances, and / or administration offices. The responsibilities including scheduling and serving as the point of contact for Safety Ambassadors, updating vendor lists, communicate any change in policies or procedures, ensure all entrances are running smoothly, tracking compliances and attendance, and providing real time feedback to Safety Ambassadors and informing Hospital Security Officer Supervisors with ongoing performance issues. This position may also check in visitors, assist with wayfinding, and de-escalate situations with patients and visitors.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements
- Any combination of clerical office experience, undergraduate education, and/or post high school clerical training that is the equivalent to one year of full-time employment.
Desired Requirements
- Experience using Epic is highly desirable
- Knowledge of UI Health Care policies, procedures, and regulations
- Customer service experience
- Demonstrated high attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in computer software applications including MS Office products
