Qualifications:

Education or Equivalency Required
Bachelor’s degree in a Chemistry, Biology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Required Qualifications

·         Demonstrate good teamwork and interpersonal skills, including relationship management within the unit and outside the immediate work unit.

·         Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

·         Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.

·         Ability to perform tasks that require accuracy, attention to detail, including accurate record keeping.

·         Demonstrate working proficiency with Microsoft Office software, (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).

Highly Desirable Qualifications

·         Basic and relevant laboratory experience that demonstrates a clear understanding of the public health or clinical laboratory environment.

·         Certification by ASCP or NCA is highly desirable.

·         Previous experience working and being comfortable using microscope, including binocular and fluorescent.

Desirable Qualifications

·         Basic knowledge of EIA using manual methods or instrumentation, as well as familiarity with equipment to allow troubleshooting.

·         Working familiarity with QA/QC and lab safety.

·         Working experience in a high-volume, fast-paced clinical lab environment.
