Clinical Research Specialist/Associate Nurse-Nuclear Medicine
Education Required
- (Specialist and Associate) Master’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience Requirements
- (Specialist and Associate) Current valid Iowa Registered Nurse License.
- (Specialist and Associate) Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- (Specialist) 3 years clinical research experience
- (Specialist) Experience with medical terminology
- (Specialist) Proficient in computer software applications
- (Specialist) Ability to organize and evaluate complex medical information and data
- (Specialist) Ability to communicate effectively in a team environment
- (Specialist) Ability to manage complex information with attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- (Specialist) Demonstrated job-related experience with and/or commitment to a welcoming environment in the workplace.
- (Associate) Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
Desirable Qualifications
- (Specialist and Associate) Experience in medical oncology, radiation oncology or imaging nursing or research.
- (Specialist and Associate) Knowledge of regulatory guidelines and procedures.
- (Specialist and Associate) Knowledge of University of Iowa policies, procedures and regulations.
- (Specialist) Relevant experience in coordination of clinical oncology research studies
- (Specialist) Clinical Research Coordinator Certification (SOCRA or ACRP)
- (Specialist) Experience working with Epic
- (Specialist) Experience working with OnCore Clinical Trials Management System

The Department of Radiology will be filling this position at one of two levels. Clinical Research Nurse Associate classification salary is 5A, and the Clinical Research Nurse Specialist classification salary is 6A. You must indicate in your cover letter the level of classification ( Clinical Research Nurse Associate and/or Clinical Research Nurse Specialist) you wish to be considered for or indicate both.
