REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1-3 years of related healthcare, business or education program/project management experience. 
  • Experience writing professional news and feature articles.
  • Experience in editing with strong proofreading, grammar, and spelling skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficient in computer software applications such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Demonstrates experience multitasking and working with a variety of projects.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work with others in a team setting.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge/experience working in health care or scientific setting.
  • Experience using Monday.com or other project management software.
  • Experience with graphic design and out-of-the-box tools such as Canva.
  • Experience with photo and video editing tools.
  • Proficient working knowledge of social media platforms.
  • Experience creating and posting professional content to various social media channels.
  • Knowledge of University of Iowa policies, procedures, and regulations.
