UI Health Care's Marketing and Communications department seeks a Creative Media Developer to join its Digital and Multimedia team.

The role collaborates in developing and producing high-quality photo and video content to support UI Health Care's mission and strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities

The Creative Media Developer will collaborate with other marketing and communications team members to design, develop, and produce multimedia content, including videos, animations, and other visual assets.

Responsibilities

The Creative Media Developer will collaborate with other marketing and communications team members to design, develop, and produce multimedia content, including videos, animations, and other visual assets.

They will work on multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of the key audiences, including patients, families, staff, referring physicians, students, and other key constituents.

They will maintain the highest levels of quality and accuracy while adhering to the established branding and visual style guidelines.

 

Project and Production Management

  • Collaborate with team members and provide expertise in the planning, production, and post-production of multimedia projects.
  • Contribute to the development of creative briefs, proposals, and presentations with guidance from the senior team members.
  • Assist in managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high level of quality.
  • Take direction from senior team members for art direction and feedback to ensure projects meet branding and creative standards.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and assist in implementing solutions to increase efficiency and quality.
  • Effectively communicate project updates and progress to key stakeholders with guidance from senior team members.

Required

  • BA/BS in journalism, communications, mass media production of electronic media, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Superb collaborative, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a collaborative, fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Drive to continually learn and improve by examining other multimedia works internally and externally.
  • Ability to work occasional weekend, early morning, and night productions.

Desired

  • Demonstrated professional experience (at least 6 months) in multimedia production in a related position.
  • Skilled in:
    • Using capture devices such as Mirrorless, DSLR, Cinema Cameras, GoPro Cameras
    • Editing video using Final Cut Pro and/or Adobe Premiere Pro
    • Photography editing software like Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, and Photo Mechanic
    • Wireless microphones; and digital audio recorders
    • MS/WINDOWS and Macintosh OS systems, and the utilization of engineering systems for special event broadcast/webcast
  • Ability to assist in the staging and composition of an in-field set up of cameras, microphones, and lighting to support a variety of scenarios.
  • Experience in health care videography for storytelling or marketing purposes is a plus.
