Communications Specialist - College of Dentistry, University of Iowa
REQUIRES:
· Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing, education, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education.
· 1-year relevant professional experience coordinating events or educational programs.
· Demonstrated experience with project coordination/logistics, managing deadlines, and multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
· Demonstrated ability to provide high-quality customer service and effectively engage with stakeholders.
· Experience drafting, editing, and distributing professional communications.
· Proficiency using productivity, content management, and communication tools.
· Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
· Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with attention to detail.
Desirable:
· Experience working in higher education, continuing education, healthcare, or nonprofit environments.
· Familiarity with budget tracking and financial documentation.
· Knowledge of accreditation/compliance processes for CE programming (e.g., ADA CERP, state licensing boards).
· Familiarity with Dispatch and SiteNowV3.
· Experience creating content for social media platforms.
· Willingness to explore and incorporate emerging technologies (e.g., artificial intelligence) to improve workflow and communications.
