Data Science Consultant
A Bachelor’s degree in a data analytics related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Qualifications:
• Typically 2+ years hands on experience doing data science or supporting data science platforms and users.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with technical and non-technical staff.
• Experience with Python and/or R.
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, balance multiple priorities, and to ensure a high level of accuracy in work produced is required.
Desired Qualifications:
• Advanced degree in data science or data analytics related field (Highly desirable).
• Experience supporting technology in a higher education setting.
• Some experience working with Unix/Linux in any setting.
• Experience with container technology (eg. Singularity).
• Experience with managing and supporting an IT service.
• Knowledge of interacting with structured data sources (SQL, NoSQL, Object Stores, etc).
• Knowledge of web scraping.
