Director, Office of Undergraduate Research
Qualifications:
Education or Equivalency Required
A Master’s degree in the sciences, humanities, business, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Required Qualifications
- Typically 3-5 years of experience in research, mentorship, student services, or a related field.
- Professional job-related experience fostering or promoting a welcoming and respectful work/academic environment where people of all backgrounds and perspectives feel welcomed and appreciated, or the demonstrated ability to do so.
- Demonstrate the ability to meet or exceed customer service needs and expectations and provide excellent service in a direct or indirect manner.
- Demonstrate the ability to effectively transmit and interpret information through appropriate communication with internal and external customers.
- At least 1 year of professional experience as a supervisor of staff (not including supervision of students).
Highly Desirable Qualifications
- PhD or other terminal degree is highly desired.
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience leading an undergraduate research office at an R1 institution.
- Experience mentoring undergraduate researchers or administering undergraduate research programs.
- Experience collaborating with faculty, and peers on funded research projects.
