Director, Rehabilitation Therapies
Required Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in in one of the professional disciplines within the department (i.e., physical therapy, occupational therapy)
- Extensive (8-10 years) managerial/leadership experience in rehabilitation therapy
- Reasonable (5-7 years) clinical experience in one of the professional disciplines within the department (i.e., physical therapy, occupational therapy) is required, with the ability to demonstrate high degree of understanding and skill in respective area of patient care
- Eligibility for state licensure to practice Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy in Iowa
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and high emotional intelligence
- Demonstrated job-related experience with and/or commitment to diversity in the work/academic environment
Desired Qualifications:
- Doctorate degree preferred
- Experience in financial management, data analysis, clinic management, and leadership
- Experience with budget management (e.g., regular use of institutional financial reports to manage to monthly and annual targets)
- Experience training and mentoring students, learners, and trainees
- Demonstrated ability to lead change
- Previous experience in an academic medical center or deep understanding and appreciation for the role of the AMC
- Experience managing in a matrix reporting and unionized environment
