Education or Equivalency Requirement
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Work, or related field is required or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience
Required
- Demonstrated experience (typically a minimum of 3 years) administrative and/or supervisory experience.
- Demonstrated experience (typically 3 years or greater) working with students (secondary or college) with special needs and/or learning disabilities
- Experience in connecting persons with disabilities with work experiences and supporting students at a job site or work experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Experience
with transition planning (e.g., advising, connecting with services, and making
referrals) and/or working with community agencies that serve individuals with
disabilities. Typical experience is three years or greater.
Desirable Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Education, Counseling, Social Work, or Rehabilitation or related field.
- Teaching or informal instructional experience with students with autism spectrum disorders, developmental disabilities, and/or learning disabilities.
- Experience working in a postsecondary education or college/university.
Driving Requirement: Must have a valid driver license and ability to meet and maintain UI Risk Management driving requirements
