Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in library/information science from an ALA-accredited program.
  • 0-2 years working in metadata creation, cataloging, and/or electronic resource management in an academic or research library setting; or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work in a team-based setting where consultation, flexibility, collaboration, cooperation, and resilience are essential.
  • Ability to manage projects and balance competing priorities.
  • Demonstrated experience working effectively in a welcoming and respectful workplace environment.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience working with an integrated library system, preferably Ex Libris ALMA; SpringShare; and/or non-MARC metadata schemas.
  • Experience using cataloging tools such as OCLC Connexion, OCLC Record Manager, and MarcEdit.
  • Experience with Perma.cc.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Salary: $65,000 – Pay Commensurate with Experience (Pay Level: 4A)

This position is eligible for fully remote work within Iowa and will require a work arrangement form to be completed upon the start of your employment. Per policy, work arrangements will be reviewed annually, and must comply with the remote work program and related policies and employee travel policy when working at a remote location.
