Required

  • A Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, accounting or a related degree, or the equivalent combination of education is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience providing executive-level administrative support.
  • Basic understanding of related accounting principles.
  • Ability to understand and discuss financial reports.
  • Experience scheduling and organizing meetings using Microsoft Outlook
  • Ability to manage complex and detailed calendars, schedule meetings, and respond to urgent requests both internally and externally.
  • Strong interpersonal and partnership skills.  Ability to understand and navigate complex professional relationships, respond to challenging people and circumstances, and react with situational appropriateness.
  • Ability to draft and edit correspondence, speeches, and presentations representative of the leader’s tone and voice.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications, including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel, including formulas and use of PivotTables.
  • Ability to analyze and visually present data.
  • Superior attention to detail, including excellent composition and editing skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently to complete multiple projects with competing deadlines.
  • Superior organizational and prioritization skills; deadline-driven.
  • Ability to process information with high levels of accuracy.
  • Ability to work effectively with a team and all levels of leadership.

Desired

  • Masters of Business Administration
  • Experience working in a large academic medical center.
  • Experience completing and analyzing financial reports.
  • Understand how to analyze and present data.
  • Experience coordinating travel and reconciling associated expenses is desirable.
  • Knowledge of University of Iowa procurement and travel policies and procedures is desirable.
  • Knowledge of University of Iowa and University of Iowa Health Care policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Knowledge and understanding of financial accounting systems specific to UIHC.
