Executive Senior Director, HR Policy & Administration
Required Qualifications:
- A Juris Doctor or equivalent degree in Law from an accredited law school
- Experience (typically 7 or more years) in the areas of legal and/or compliance and employee and labor relations
- Experience leading, motivating, evaluating, and rewarding a team of professional staff
- Extensive Knowledge of federal and state laws, regulations, and policies relevant to human resources
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
- Strong relationship management, teamwork and influencing skills, including proven experience in championing the adoption of new tools and techniques
- Demonstrated experience in navigating complex employee centric cases
- Proficient computer skills utilizing Microsoft Office
- Proven ability to make sound, strategic decisions that align with institutional goals and values, particularly in complex or sensitive employment situations.
- Demonstrated job-related experience with and commitment to promoting a welcoming and respectful workplace environment.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Knowledge of immigration law and its application to a university/health care environment
- Proven success in leading and implementing projects to improve efficiency
- Experience working in an education environment and/or knowledge of university policies and practices
- Experience working effectively in a large and complex organization
- Professional Certification related to HR (e.g., SPHR, SHRM-SCP, etc.).
