Facility Manager - Pathology
The Department of Pathology is seeking a Facility Manager to advise in the planning and management of the Department of Pathology’s plant operations including maintenance, construction, utilities, and repairs. Design, plan, promote, and conduct educational, service and/or health care programmatic space of substantial complexity, and impact, either on and/or off campus.
This position is 100%-time, 1st shift, Monday-Friday.
Duties to include:
· Directs facilities planning and development within laboratory sections.
· Co-manages Capital equipment requests with Financial Manager.
· Manage, evaluate and provide oversight for departmental and staff performance, production, downtime of equipment and costs for both hospital and college.
· Manages safety efforts within department.
· Coordinates communication with staff, vendors, suppliers, etc.

Required Qualifications:
· A Bachelor’s degree in business, hospital, and health administration or laboratory administration from an accredited college or university or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
· 3 or more years experience in maintenance, operation, and construction required.
· Prior administrative and laboratory supervision responsibility is desired.
· Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment with effective leadership skills.
· Demonstrated ability to work independently, to meet deadlines efficiently, to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and to be highly self-motivated.
