REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • A minimum of two years of related experience in conducting communication tasks.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in communicating and working with the general public.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office and Internet search engines.
  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills are necessary along with the ability to communicate effectively with staff, Program collaborators, and the general public.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • The ability to move 50 pounds as necessary.
  • Requires occasional attendance at team meetings or events outside of normal working hours.
  • Valid US driver’s license and eligibility to operate motor vehicles under University standards.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of University and/or Iowa Lions Club policies, practices, rules, and regulations.
  • Multilingual or demonstrated experience effectively communicating with individuals speaking various languages.
  • Personal experience or knowledge of undetected or treated Amblyopia 

SUPERVISION RECEIVED

·         Administrative supervision received from the Program Manager.

SUPERVISION EXERCISED

·         Functional supervision may be exercised over student volunteer groups, student support staff, part-time support staff, and Iowa Lions Club Volunteers.
