The University of Iowa Health Care department of Food & Nutrition Services is seeking a Food Service Supervisor to supervise the performance of general service staff in designated areas, and enforces departmental work guidelines and policies/procedures. 

  • Maintain adequate staffing, food quality, schedules, and quality assurance records
  • Complete assigned forecasting
  • Order menu items to meet demand
  • Assist in providing food service as needed
  • Attend assigned meetings and conducts staff meetings

Percent of Time: 100%

Rotating Schedule:

Week1: Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

Week2: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday

Shifts vary 10AM-6:30PM and 12PM-8:30PM

Rotating Weekends(Sat & Sun): 12:00-8:30PM

Pay Grade: 08 https://hr.uiowa.edu/pay/pay-plans/merit-alpha-matrix

Minimum Eligibility Requirements

  • High School graduation or equivalent and two years of directly related food distribution experience;
    • or any equivalent combination of post high school education and experience providing a knowledge or background in institutional food service distribution
