Graduate Administrative Affairs Coordinator
Education Requirement
- Bachelor’s degree in education, student development, counseling or a related field, or an equivalent combination of training and experience providing a comparable level of expertise.
Required Qualifications
- Experience (typically one to three years) in assessment of programmatic and curricular objectives, preferably at the college/university level.
- Office administration, organizing and planning tasks efficiently, processing detailed information with good accuracy and in meeting deadlines.
- Using and understanding effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
- Application of establishing and building healthy working relations and partnerships with colleagues within and external to own unit.
- Utilizing tools, techniques and processes for gathering and reporting data including the use of computer database(s), word processing, and website maintenance and management.
- Understanding of the issues related to the decision-making process; ability to analyze situations fully and accurately and reach productive decisions with a high level of autonomy while performing program support.
- Data management and reporting including customizing data fields, interpreting and assessing information and sharing data summaries and findings with constituents and org/unit leaders.
- Demonstrated proficiency in the ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive manner while appreciating the unique contributions of each individual is required.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet and maintain UI Fleet Safety Standards.
Desired Qualifications
- A Master’s degree in relevant field (e.g., higher education, counseling, or equivalent experience).
- Reasonable (1 – 3 years) experience and knowledge of higher education policies, procedures and regulations.
- Some experience with and knowledge of higher education.
