Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 1year of experience with administrative or academic program policies and procedures.
  • Proficiency in computer software applications with working knowledge of MS Word and Excel, and the ability to learn new university systems, such as MAUI.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, including initiating and developing projects. 
  • Demonstrated job-related experience with and/or commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in the work/academic environment.
  • Effective, high-level writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills as well as attention to detail.

Highly Desired Qualifications:

  • Ability to travel to local, regional, and national student recruitment events and educational conferences.

Desired Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of administrative experience in an academic environment.
  • Previous experience in program and/or project management.
  • Knowledge of University of Iowa policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • A Master’s degree in Public Health, Higher Education, Student Affairs, or related area.

This position is being offered at a range of 80-100% appointment.
