Education Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of 6 months of related human resources experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, maintain confidentiality, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines while possessing a strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated experience providing excellent and timely customer service in a high volume and fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office and computer software applications.

Highly Desired Qualifications:

  • Prior experience performing and/or supporting multiple HR functions including recruitment, performance management, employee relations, compensation and classification, and payroll.
  • Prior human resources or customer service experience in a large, complex organization.
  • Knowledge of and experience with HR systems (e.g. HRIS, HRMS, payroll, etc.).
  • Demonstrated experience successfully balancing multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to be organized, flexible and multi-task in a high volume and fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of University of Iowa HR policies, procedures, regulations, and systems.
