HR Associate - Ophthalmology
Education Requirements
A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience Requirements
6 months - 1 year of related administration HR experience.
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, maintain confidentiality, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines while possessing a strong organizational, analytical skills, and attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to work within a multidisciplinary setting.
Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office and computer software applications
Demonstrated experience working effectively in a welcoming and respectful workplace environment.
Desired Qualifications
Prior experience work in a hospital and/or academic medical setting
Experience with Oracle/Taleo talent acquisition system
Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and/or SHRM-CP Certification
Professional experience working effectively with individuals from a variety of backgrounds and perspectives.
Prior experience performing and/or supporting multiple HR functions including recruitment, performance management, employee relations, compensation and classification, and payroll.
Working knowledge of state and federal regulations affecting human resources.
Demonstrated ability to be organized, flexible and multi-task in a high volume and fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of University of Iowa HR policies, procedures, regulations, and systems.
