HR Associate - Patient Financial Services
Education Requirement:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or Business Administration or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Qualifications:
- 6 months – 1 year of related human resource experience
- Prior experience performing and/or supporting multiple HR functions including recruitment, performance management, employee relations, compensation and classification, payroll, and leave of absence administration (FMLA, ADA, workers’ compensation)
- Experience monitoring and analyzing personnel data
- Demonstrated experience providing excellent and timely customer service
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in the work environment
- Ability to anticipate needs, problems, and potential issues and use judgment, foresight, and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot, recommend and implement solutions.
- Demonstrate careful attention to detail and accuracy, strong organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks quickly and effectively, proactively establish priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required including the ability to compose communications and grammatically correct documents in a concise, logical, and organized manner.
Desired Qualifications:
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations affecting human resources
- Knowledge of University policies and procedures, including Professional and Scientific employees and those covered by the merit system AFSCME
- Working knowledge of UI HR and payroll computer applications including Human Resources Information System (HRIS), Enterprise Labor Management System (ELMS), and UI Health Care HR database (ERMA).
- PHR or SHRM-CP Certification
