Education Requirement 

Bachelor’s Degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience. 


Required Qualifications  

  • Basic knowledge of state and federal regulations affecting human resources. 

  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to provide excellent customer service for all employee populations. 

  • Demonstrated high attention to detail and strong organizational skills. 

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). 

  • Commitment to and ability to foster diversity, equity, and inclusion in the work or academic environment. 


Desired Qualifications 

  • Human Resources Certification (i.e. PHR, SHRM-CP) and/or commitment to the HR field through training and development. 

  • Knowledge of/experience with University of Iowa HR systems, policies, and processes. 

  • Prior experience in a higher education setting.
