Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, Business Administration or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • One (1) year of experience in a related human resources capacity.
  • Experience providing career development, training opportunities, or other educational programming.
  • Must demonstrate effective communication and public speaking skills and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Must be proficient with computer software applications such as Microsoft Office.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating a high- volume workload in a fast-paced environment. 

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience and ability to contribute to operational and strategic planning in support of the organizational business plan.
  • Working knowledge of state and federal regulations and laws affecting human resources.
  • Human Resources profession certification (i.e., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP)
  • Knowledge of University of Iowa policies and procedures and experience with a HRIS system.
