Position Summary:
A 100% Imaging Technologist position with primary duties in MRI. Perform and teach specialized MRI and research procedures utilizing complex imaging equipment with close patient monitoring during exam. Work schedule will be Monday - Friday, 3pm – 11:30pm. Schedule may include rotating shifts during the week including night; weekend and holiday on call responsibilities.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Perform and teach specialized imaging procedures utilizing MRI imaging equipment with close patient monitoring during exam. This includes independent operation with minimal physician supervision.
  • Perform MRI procedures using a variety of complex imaging and patient monitoring equipment.
  • Has knowledge of and applies MRI safety precautions to minimize or eliminate risks to patients, personnel and equipment.
  • Has knowledge and understanding of key Service Excellence principles for interaction with patients and staff.
  • Establish rapport with patient and provide information about how the exam is performed and what is required of the patient.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with faculty, staff, students and the public.

Position Qualifications:
Education Required
  • Successful completion of two-year or other approved program by Joint Review Committee in Radiologic Technology Education is required.

Experience Requirements

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.


  • Current certification or eligibility for certification in diagnostic procedures by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required.


Desirable Qualifications

  • Recent work or clinical education experience in MRI.
  • MRI modality training.
  • MRI certification or eligible.
  • Work or clinical education experience in a Level 1 trauma center.
