Imaging Technologist - Adult Cardiac Cath Lab (UI Heart and Vascular Center)
Education Requirement:
- Successful completion of two-year or other approved program by Joint Commission Committee in Radiologic Technology Education is required.
Experience Requirement:
- Previous Imaging Tech experience (Cath/EP experience preferred); OR completion of Cardiac Interventional and Vascular Interventional clinical internship (within the last 12 mos.) required.
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills required.
- Ability to respond to on-call within 20 minutes is required.
Certification/Licensure Requirement:
- Certification in diagnostic procedures by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required prior to start date.
- Permit to practice by the State of Iowa for all technologists operating ionizing radiation emitting equipment is required prior to start date.
- BLS and ACLS certification(s) are required prior to start date.
Desired Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in an academic medical setting desired.
- Previous experience using electronic medical records desired.
- Membership in position-related professional societies desired.
