Infectious Diseases Research Assistant
Required Qualifications
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 12 months’ experience in biomedical research.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency maintaining excellent lab notes and records.
- Ability to perform animal based experiments of infection and immune responses.
- Demonstrated experience balancing a supervised position with opportunities for autonomy.
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience with basic biostatistics.
- Experience in basic molecular biology techniques such as cloning, western blotting, or PCR.
- Experience in basic microbiological sterile techniques.
- Excellent attention to detail.
Highly Desired Qualifications
- Experience in management, breeding and imaging of zebrafish.
- Experience with genetic manipulations of fungi and/or bacteria.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task, organize priorities and work independently to meet deadlines.
