Education Requirement

  • A Bachelor’s degree with a major in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering or closely related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. 

 

Required Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of experience in safety or lab management or related experience. 
  • Demonstrated experience using, maintaining, and troubleshooting electronic equipment and instrumentation with knowledge of both digital and analog electronics.   
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex maintenance and repair projects. 
  • Flexibility and motivation to learn new skills and techniques.  
  • Working experience with laboratory safety protocols. 
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills. 
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.  
  • Attention to detail and good organizational skills. 
  • Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment.  

 

Desired Qualifications

  • A Master’s and/or PhD degree in mechanical engineering or closely related field is desirable. 
  • Two to three years’ experience in safety or lab management or related experience. 
  • Basic machining skills, welding, CAD, CNC programming.
