Education Required:

  • Bachelor's in Spanish, foreign language education/ESL education, applied linguistics, educational technology, or related field. An equivalent combination of education and educational technology experience may also serve to meet this minimum requirement.

Required Qualifications:

  • Working (at least 1 year) experience with CANVAS, or with a similar CMS, such as Blackboard, Blackboard Collaborate, Adobe Connect, MOODLE. 
  • Demonstrates extensive proficiency in the ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally in both English and Spanish. 
  • Demonstrates a working proficiency in the ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and civil manner while appreciating the unique contribution of individuals from varied cultures, race, creed, color, national origin, age, sex, disability, sexual orientation, and gender identity. 
  • Demonstrates a working knowledge and proficiency using all commonly used office support/productivity (word processing, spreadsheets, calendaring, etc.) software
  • Experience teaching Spanish.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master's in Spanish, foreign language education/ESL education, applied linguistics, educational technology, or related field is highly desirable  
  • Working knowledge of and/or experience with alternative models of language instruction: hybrid, online virtual, online. 
  • Demonstrates a working knowledge of and ability to provide instructional technology support to users in an academic setting.
