Invention Education Program Manager
Education Requirement
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Qualifications
- Relevant experience (3-5 years) in program development/management, public relations, communications, or marketing, preferably in an educational setting.
- Excellent verbal communication skills, including experience or capacity to demonstrate positive interpersonal skills, develop and maintain collaborative working relationships, and participate in or lead project groups and teams.
- Demonstrated time management and organizational skills; detail-oriented; ability to coordinate, track, and prioritize multiple projects or tasks simultaneously.
- Demonstrated experience working effectively in a welcoming and respectful workplace environment.
- Experience collecting and using data for program improvement and evaluation processes.
- Excellent written communication skills, including experience in writing reports, newsletters, or social media and/or developing content for marketing/public relations materials.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends, when needed.
- Ability to travel in the surrounding geographic area, hold a valid driver's license, and meet the University of Iowa Fleet Safety Program driving standards.
Desired Qualifications
- Master’s degree (MBA, Higher Education, or related field)
- Relevant experience (5+ years) in program development/management, public relations, communications, or marketing.
- Experience working with and leading K-12 student population.
- Experience in public speaking.
- Demonstrates knowledge and experience with innovation-based education (invention, entrepreneurship).
- Ability to learn recent technology and adapt to changes in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with higher education, as well as some knowledge of the University of Iowa policies and procedures.
