Iowa Online Nurse Residency Program (IONRP) Coordinator
Qualifications
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in nursing required. Graduate degree in nursing or completion of a graduate degree in nursing within one year, preferred.
Required Experience:
- Licensed Registered Nurse and eligible for licensure in the state of Iowa.
- Minimum of five years clinical experience, including leadership experience with understanding of a preceptor’s role and teaching using adult learning principles.
- Experience working in rural and/or small health care organizations and non-acute care settings (such as Critical Access Hospitals, smaller community hospital, long-term, hospice, and/or home health).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient with computer software, including: Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel), Adobe, and virtual meeting platforms such as Zoom.
- Ability and willingness to work evenings and weekends when necessary.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative in a virtual environment.
Desirable Experience:
- Experience delivering nurse residency programs.
- Experience teaching online courses.
- Experience with the development of preceptors and mentors.
- Experience with computer-based learning.
- Experience with facilitation of virtual meetings/discussions.
- Experience with implementation of quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives.
- Specialty certification in nursing professional development.
