Qualifications:

Education or Equivalency Required

A Bachelor’s degree in a health-related or clinical field (such as nursing, biomedical sciences, medical laboratory science, radiation sciences, human physiology, or behavioral or public health with a clinical/health emphasis) or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Required Qualifications

  • Typically a minimum of 6 months full-time equivalent experience conducting and/or monitoring research involving human participants, or in a related administrative role supporting human subjects research OR a minimum of 6 months full-time equivalent experience working with federal regulations.
  • Typically 6 months - 1 or more years' experience conducting and/or monitoring research involving human participants, or in a related administrative role supporting human subjects research OR One or more years' experience working knowledge of federal regulations regarding the protection of human subjects in research.
  • Communicating for Effective Relationships: Demonstrates a working proficiency in ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborate manner, including strong writing, public speaking and presentation skills.
  • Accuracy and Attention to detail:  Understands the necessity and value of accuracy and attention to detail and the ability to process information with high levels of accuracy at a working level of proficiency.
  • Service Excellence/Customer Focus: Ability to meet or exceed customer service needs and expectations and provide excellent customer service at a working level of proficiency.


Highly Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience conducting the recruitment and consent process with human research subjects.
  • Experience reviewing, editing, or submitting IRB applications for compliance with federal regulations.


Desirable Qualifications

  • Technical experience with HawkIRB, other data management systems, or electronic workflow systems.
  • Certification as a Certified IRB Professional (CIP) or the ability to obtain Certified IRB Professional (CIP) certification as soon as eligible.
