Position Summary

The University of Iowa Health Care Department of Radiology is seeking an IT Support Analyst to provide technical support, consultation, and guidance to radiologists and staff using radiology information systems and imaging software. This position is responsible for troubleshooting technical issues, delivering exceptional customer service to end users, and identifying effective technology solutions to support clinical operations. The IT Support Analyst also assists with user training, supports daily system operations, and contributes to technology planning and optimization efforts to enhance user experience, system performance, and organizational effectiveness.

This position will be eligible for WFH two days after an initial training period.

Position Responsibilities

  • Trouble shoots and answers questions related to the functionality and use of a variety of computer systems used in Radiology

  • Performs AQ functions on a variety of computer systems used in Radiology, including reconciling patient data and deletion of incorrect data

  • Assists end users across the enterprise with image viewing, processing orders from providers for external Radiology studies, and requests for Radiology studies from outside facilities

  • Performs first level troubleshooting for Radiology computer system issues

  • Assists in training Radiologists and Residents on using Radiology PACS, dictation system, and other computer systems

  • Processes orders from providers for external Radiology studies and requests for Radiology studies from outside facilities

Percent of Time: 100%

Schedule: Monday - Friday; 0830-1700; rotating holiday coverage

Pay Structure: 3A https://hr.uiowa.edu/pay/pay-plans/professional-and-scientific-pay-structure

Education Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in STEM or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience 

     

Experience Requirements

  • Six months of related customer service experience in a health care setting
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and demonstrated ability to prioritize, multi-task and quickly change focus.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle complex situations with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office and computer software applications

     

Desirable Qualifications Requirements

  • Experience identifying opportunities for improvement, making recommendations and suggestions to improve workflows
  • Experience with Radiology PACS system
  • Self-motivated with initiative to seek out additional responsibilities, tasks and projects.
  • Experience working with EPIC software/systems
  • Knowledge of University of Iowa Policies and Procedures.
