Education Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or closely related field with sufficient Chemistry knowledge and coursework to be able to perform the duties of the position.

Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in a laboratory setting (academic/commercial preparatory, undergraduate research, advanced laboratory coursework experience).
  • Working knowledge of SOPs and safe handling of laboratory waste.
  • Working knowledge of and ability to use tools such as Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and internet search tools.
  • Must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to effectively transmit, receive and interpret ideas, information, and needs through appropriate communication methods and behaviors with faculty, staff and students, while appreciating the unique contributions of all individuals.
  • Must demonstrate careful attention to detail and accuracy, strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks quickly and effectively, proactively establish priorities and meet deadlines, and solve problems independently.
  • Experience fostering a welcoming academic environment.

Desired Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Chemistry or related field.
  • Three years of laboratory experience.
  • Experience writing SOPs.
  • Working knowledge of academic resources and University systems (e.g., ICON, Gradescope).
