Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Physical Science, Safety Management, Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Safety, Industrial Hygiene or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required
- Experience with safe handling of hazardous materials and chemical nomenclature practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office computer software applications (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
- Experience providing safety training, education, and advising on compliance
- Experience operating environmental monitoring equipment
- 3 Years’ experience related to job duties
Desirable Qualifications
- Knowledge of State and Federal safety regulations
- Experience writing and maintaining policies and procedures
- 1 – 3 years experience with occupational or environmental health and safety issues
- Knowledge or experience with healthcare or laboratory safety
