Required Qualifications:

Physician Assistant (PA)

Must comply with registration and licensure requirements as specified by the Iowa Board of Physician Assistant Examiners which include graduation from an accredited PA educational program and certification by the NCCPA. 

 OR

Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP)

Master’s or Doctorate degree from accredited Nursing program with Adult/Gero Acute Care certification strongly preferred, Family Nurse Practitioner certification will be considered with appropriate experience.

Must comply with registration and licensure requirements as specified by the state of Iowa.

Active Iowa Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner and Registered Nurse licenses in state of Iowa with active board certification in the state of Iowa.

Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire.

ACLS certification.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Extensive knowledge of physical assessment, differential diagnoses, pathophysiology, pharmacology, management of acute and chronic Vascular Surgery diagnoses.
  • Ability to function with a high degree of independence in a collaborative and multidisciplinary team providing care for highly complex patients.
  • Possess the requisite knowledge and clinical skills to provide care to the adult, and geriatric populations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize workflow.
  • Ability and willingness to learn and assist with Vascular Surgery procedures and management.
  • Experience with data and quality management projects.
  • Two years of relevant experience in a surgery or critical care environment.
  • Previous operating room experience.
  • ACLS certification
