Performance Improvement Engineer
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Qualifications
· A Master’s degree in a healthcare related field with 1-3 years’ experience in healthcare outcomes and performance improvement initiatives/techniques (which may include clinical care); or a Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare related field with 3-5 years’ experience in healthcare outcomes and performance improvement initiatives/techniques (which may include clinical care); or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
· Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Power Point and Excel; ability to format tables, retrieve data via queries, and create presentations via PowerPoint.
· Demonstrated excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Desirable Qualifications
· A Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
· A current Iowa RN license.
· Specific training and certification in performance improvement techniques e.g., Six Sigma Green or Black Belt.
· Professional certification related to healthcare quality (i.e. CPHQ, ASQ).
· Previous clinical experience in an academic medical center.
· Some knowledge of University and Regent policies, procedures, and regulations.
