Physician Assistant 50%-100%, Emergency Medicine - North Liberty Campus
Required Education:
- Must comply with registration and licensure requirements as specified by the Iowa Board of Physician Assistant Examiners which include graduation from an accredited PA educational program and/or certification by the NCCPA.
Experience requirement:
- Minimum of one-year (1) experience in an Emergency Department/Trauma Center; OR successful completion of a Level I Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant Residency Program (academic medical center preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage critically ill patient population (of all ages) within a highly- functioning unit/department.
- Demonstrated experience in area of clinical practice is required.
- Proven capacity to function with a high degree of autonomy while actively collaborating within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Certification/Licensure Requirement:
- Current Iowa license to practice as a Physician Assistant by the State of Iowa.
Desired Qualifications:
- 3-5 years' Emergency Medicine/critical care experience preferred.
- Previous pediatric emergency care experience.
- Experience in an academic medical center.
- Knowledge of University policies and procedures.
