Quality and Operations Improvement Engineer - Anatomic Pathology
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in a basic science or healthcare-related field from an accredited college or university with specialized training in laboratory medicine, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Three to five years administrative, supervisory, and/or quality program experience is required.
Six months to one year experience in technical writing, teaching and/or training is required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated proficiency in computer software applications.
Desirable Qualifications
Three to five years of experience in laboratory medicine is highly desired.
One to three years of experience in Anatomic Pathology is desired.
Certification by the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or National Certification Agency (NCA).
Demonstrated experience working with and knowledge of the College of American Pathologists (CAP) laboratory accreditation and inspection process is highly desired.
Demonstrated ability to perform statistical and trend analysis is desired.
Experience working in an academic health center is highly desired.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment with effective leadership skills is desired.
