Quality Improvement Coordinator
UI REACH in the College of Education at the University of Iowa is seeking to hire a Quality Improvement Coordinator to coordinate the UI REACH quality improvement and assurance process based on established best practices as published by accrediting entities and research. Responsibilities include reviewing standards/best practices, conducting/reviewing self-assessment of compliance with standards, working with the UI REACH Director and Leadership Team on creating a project management plan to move the quality improvement processes forward, collaborate with UI REACH staff, students and other stakeholders, meet benchmarks, monitor and assess progress, and meet timelines established.
Location: Lindquist Center, Iowa City, IA. A hybrid work arrangement within the state of Iowa may be considered. Work arrangement options will be discussed during the hiring process. Per policy, work arrangements will be reviewed annually and must comply with the remote work program and related policies and employee travel policy when working at a remote location.
Appointment: This is a full-time three year specified term appointment.
Specific Job Duties and Tasks
- Coordinates quality improvement process to meet timelines and benchmarks established.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, identifying areas in which program services and processes vary from established best practices and assist UI REACH with designing and implementing enhancements to services and processes.
- Understands best practices as identified in accreditation standards.
- Create and implement the project management for the accreditation process.
- Manages and maintains the data collection system for the quality improvement processes.
- Provide periodic reports on progress of accreditation application materials.
- Conduct detailed statistical analysis to identify trends, issues, and areas for improvements in service and process quality.
- Perform regular quality assurance audits to ensure adherence to established standards and regulatory compliance.
- Develop and maintain quality standards and procedures in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Analyze test results and produce comprehensive reports detailing findings and recommending actionable improvements.
- Develops and conducts training related to policy, procedures and processes for accreditation and professional standards compliance to ensure a clear understanding of expectations, accreditation processes, and appropriate follow through is being performed.
- Collaborate with team members to gather data and information needed for accreditation.

Education Requirement
- Bachelor’s degree in education, Business Administration, or related field or a combination of relevant work experience and education.
Required Qualifications
- 3 years experience minimum typically required.
- Experience managing projects including implementation, tracking and follow up.
- Experience in setting up systems for data collection and tracking.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
- Ability to operate various software applications used for data collection and reporting, such as Microsoft Excel, SPSS, Qualtrics, or similar survey programs.
- Strong communication skills.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with accreditation and certification procedures preferably for education programs.
- Experience with managing organization change.
- Master’s degree in education, Business, Evaluation or related field.
