REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry, Biology, Immunology, Human Physiology, or related fields and/or an MD degree.
  • Ability to handle and work with small animals
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Must be proficient with computer software including Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat and Excel database software
  • Prior experience in a research or medical setting.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of medical and genetic terminology.
  • Experience in ophthalmology clinics.
  • Experience or previous course work in the research process, especially in either animal or ophthalmology research.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED

General supervision is received from the study PI. Immediate supervision is received from Post-doctoral fellow and other laboratory and clinical supervisory personnel.
