Research Assistant

Bachelor’s degree in a field pertaining to molecular and cellular biology and/or biochemistry or equivalent combination of education and experience.

At least 6 months of experience with basic molecular biology techniques such as PCR, gel electrophoresis, etc.

Experience with Microsoft Office programs (such as Word and Excel)
-
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
-
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
-
6+ months experience working with rats or other rodents
-
Experience with breeding and genotyping genetically modified rats
-
6+ months experience working in a laboratory research setting
-
6+ months experience with basic histology techniques
-
Use of electronic record keeping (electronic lab notebook and animal colony maintenance software).
