Research Assistant - Cancer Biology
Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in biological sciences or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience in an animal caretaking or research laboratory environment.
- Minimum of 2 years of progressively responsible experience in a research laboratory environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office
Desirable Qualifications:
- Ability to work independently while being accountable and efficient with time management.
- Have a willingness and capacity to learn and teach others.
- Previous experience with rodent colony management and caretaking.
- IACUC training, knowledge and familiarity with compliance rules and regulations.
- Experience with DNA/RNA techniques: DNA/RNA isolation and PCR experiments.
- Experience with Protein techniques: protein isolation, immunoblotting, immunohistochemistry/ immunofluorescence.
