Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or a related scientific field.
  • Minimum of six months experience in molecular biology research.
  • Minimum of six months experience with basic lab techniques including DNA and RNA preparation.
  • Demonstrated experience preparing solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience using cell cultures.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well both independently and in a team setting.
  • Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills including maintaining lab notes.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with computer programs – specifically MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to multitask effectively, prioritize multiple projects and display initiative in anticipating and resolving problems.

 

Desirable Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in data presentation is desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience with computational skills such as computer programming is desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience providing intellectual contributions to research is desirable.

Highly Desired Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience with mouse colony maintenance and rodent handling is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience in the development and execution of genomic work including qPCR, PCR, rtPCR, genotyping and application of rtPCR to COVID19 testing is highly desirable.
