Research Assistant - Microbiology and Immunology (Wu Lab)
Required Qualifications:
· Requires a bachelor’s degree in a Microbiology, Immunology, Cell biology, Biology, Chemistry or equivalent combination of education and progressively responsible experience in a research laboratory environment.
- A minimum of 6 months experience with molecular biology techniques.
- Ability to follow research methodology and protocols.
- Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
- Strong problem solving and attentiveness to detail.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office programs.
Desirable Qualifications:
· Prior experience with any of the following:
o Cell culture
o Virus handling and quantification
o Western blot
o Nucleic acid purification
o RT-qPCR
o Flow cytometry
o ELISA
