Required Qualifications:

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree in a biomedical related field, animal science, veterinary technology or other related science program or an equivalent combination of education and progressively responsible experience in an animal caretaking or research laboratory environment
  • Previous animal research experience in a laboratory with an emphasis on animal behavior
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work independently while being accountable and efficient with time management

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • Previous experience with handling, restraining and injecting mice
  • Experience with mouse behavioral experiments
  • Experience with transcardial perfusions, brain extractions, sectioning and histology
  • Experience with stereotaxic surgeries is a plus but not required
  • Experience with EEG recordings in mice
