Required Qualifications:

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in biology, biochemistry, bioengineering, neuroscience, chemical engineering, or a related field or equivalent combination of education and related experience
  • Minimum two years of research related experience
  • Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to execute and follow-through to completion and documentation
  • Demonstrated ability to formulate hypotheses
  • Ability to multitask effectively, prioritize multiple projects
  • Excellent organizational skills

 

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge with cell culture methods, mouse models, biochemical assays, colorimetric assays, ELISAs, Western blotting, PCR and qPCR
  • Maintaining animal colony and animal surgical experience
  • Basic proficiency with GraphPad, ImageJ, SPSS, Adobe Creative Suite or equivalent
  • Experience DNA plasmid design, cloning, transfections, lentiviral transduction
  • CAD software experience (Auto-CAD, SolidWorks, Fusion360 or equivalent)
  • Experience in multiphysics modeling (Comsol, Sim4Life or equivalent)
  • Experience with molecular biology techniques
  • Experience with cell culture and animal models
  • Demonstrated experience in electrical and/or mechanical engineering
