Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s in biomedical science, clinical medicine, or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a relevant field of study.
  •  Minimum of 1 year working experience in biomedical research lab. 
  • Proven talent to work independently.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Solid knowledge and extensive working experience in animal and tissue culture models.
  • Profound experience in genetic mouse models, mouse metabolic profiling, animal handling, and tissue dissection;
  • Extensive mouse surgery skills including, hypothalamic gene and chemical delivery,  vagal nerve stimulation and vagotomy
  • Extensive experience in in molecular and biochemical assays:
    • Tissue and cell immunofluorescence/immunohistochemistry staining, as well as EM analyses;
    • Protein isolation and purification, and SDS-PAGE-based analyses of purified and recombinant proteins (including Western Blot and related analyses);
    • Utilize RT-PCR assays;
    • organelle isolation;
