Research Associate - Neuroscience and Pharmacology (Rahmouni Lab)
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in a biomedical related field, animal science, veterinary technology or other related science program or an equivalent combination of education
- A minimum of 1-3 years of progressively responsible experience in an animal caretaking or research laboratory environment
- Experience with surgical procedures in mice particularly vascular cannulation and/or brain site specific injections
Desirable Qualifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills, and interpersonal skills
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Familiar with procedures and regulations related to animal care
- Ability to work independently while being accountable and efficient with time management
- Previous experience with rodent colony management and caretaking
- IACUC knowledge and familiarity with up to date compliance rules and regulations
