Research Specialist
Required Qualifications
A master’s degree in mathematics, statistics, computer programming, or other field of science, and progressively responsible experience in the conduct of epidemiological research.
One or more years of progressively responsible programming experience with one or more languages (e.g. SAS, C, C++, Fortran, COBOL, R, etc.)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Desirable Qualifications
Experience with database management software.
Extensive (5-7 years) experience analyzing data for research studies is desirable.
Extensive (5-7 years) experience using SAS or related statistical package programming experience.
Experience analyzing administrative data (claims or electronic health record data) for observational research studies is desirable
Experience with two or more of the following: multiple linear regression, logistic regression, generalized estimating equations, generalized linear mixed (“Hierarchical”) models, or proportional hazards regression.
Experience using SQL language for extracting and manipulating medical and other secondary data sources is desirable.
